Integrated Anganwadi Centres: Where Nutrition Meets Early Education




Under the leadership of Minister Vishwajit Rane, Goa has launched Integrated Anganwadi Centres (IACs) that combine nutrition, pre-schooling, and maternal services in a single upgraded campus.

·        Kitchen + meal distribution for 0–6 years.

·        Pre-primary classrooms with play-learning kits.

·        Regular weight & height monitoring.

·        Sanitary washrooms and RO water.

·        Nutrition dashboards & Aadhaar-linked attendance.

Goa has established 73 IACs as of mid-2025, with plans to scale across rural blocks.

Each centre follows POSHAN norms, works with local SHGs, and is digitally monitored via the ICDS app. It’s not just about feeding — it’s about nurturing futures.

Goa Mourns the Passing of Former Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik

 Goa’s political landscape lost one of its senior-most leaders on Wednesday with the passing of Ravi Naik , the state’s Agriculture Minister and former Chief Minister . Naik, 79, suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence located around 30 kilometers from Panaji and was rushed to a private hospital in Ponda town , where doctors declared him dead around 1 a.m. According to family sources, Naik experienced sudden chest pain late Tuesday night. Despite immediate efforts to revive him, the leader succumbed to cardiac complications in the early hours of Wednesday.
