Goa Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Till October 12, 2025


 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across Goa over the next few days, from October 9 to October 12, 2025.

Both North and South Goa districts are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain, with isolated heavy downpours and thunderstorm activity likely during evening hours.

According to IMD’s regional centre, temperatures will hover between 23°C (minimum) and 29°C (maximum), while humidity levels will remain around 92%. Winds are expected to blow from the southwest at 40–50 kmph, occasionally gusting to 60 kmph along the coast.

The Yellow Alert issued by IMD warns of potential localized flooding, waterlogging, and reduced visibility in coastal and low-lying areas. Tourists and residents are advised to monitor official updates, especially before traveling.

Outlook:

  • October 9–10: Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells.

  • October 11–12: Widespread rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds along the coast.

Goa continues to experience a strong monsoon phase as the state transitions toward the post-monsoon season.

Goa Mourns the Passing of Former Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik

 Goa’s political landscape lost one of its senior-most leaders on Wednesday with the passing of Ravi Naik , the state’s Agriculture Minister and former Chief Minister .
