Rashtriya Poshan Maah Celebrated Across Goa: Vishwajit Rane Commends Grassroots Efforts for a Suposhit Future


 Goa’s Health Minister Vishwajit Rane expressed immense pleasure at the vibrant celebrations of Rashtriya Poshan Maah across all Anganwadis in the state.

The initiative, organized under the Poshan Abhiyaan, underscores the collective vision of building a healthier and stronger Goa by ensuring every mother and child receives proper nutrition and care.

Across the state, children, mothers, and Anganwadi workers participated in awareness programmes, nutritional pledge drives, and community activities promoting balanced diets and healthy living. A pledge was also taken to make wholesome, nutritious food a regular part of daily life laying the foundation for a healthier tomorrow.

Shri Vishwajit Rane extended heartfelt appreciation to all Anganwadi workers and officials for their tireless contributions at the grassroots level. He emphasized that their consistent efforts continue to shape a Suposhit Goa, which stands as a true example of Suposhit Bharat, Sashakt Bharat.

The initiative aligns with the larger vision of the Government of India under the Poshan Abhiyaan to combat malnutrition, improve health outcomes, and ensure that every child and mother lead healthier lives.

Goa Mourns the Passing of Former Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik

 Goa’s political landscape lost one of its senior-most leaders on Wednesday with the passing of Ravi Naik , the state’s Agriculture Minister and former Chief Minister . Naik, 79, suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence located around 30 kilometers from Panaji and was rushed to a private hospital in Ponda town , where doctors declared him dead around 1 a.m. According to family sources, Naik experienced sudden chest pain late Tuesday night.
