Vishwajit Rane Leads Goa’s Celebration of International Day of the Girl Child


 Goa’s Health Minister Vishwajit Rane led the International Day of the Girl Child celebrations organised by the Directorate of Women & Child Development, Government of Goa, at a special event highlighting the empowerment and achievements of young girls across the state.

Speaking at the event, Vishwajit Rane stated that “our girls are the architects of a brighter tomorrow symbols of strength, resilience, and limitless potential.”

The celebration recognised several achiever girls for their outstanding accomplishments and encouraged young girls to pursue their dreams with confidence.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Rajesh T. Patil, Medical Superintendent & Professor of Surgery, GMC; Smt. Sushma Harish Chodankar, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee  North Goa; Shri Arun Kumar Mishra, IAS, Secretary, WCD; and Smt. Jyoti Desai, Director, WCD.

Under the leadership of Vishwajit Rane, Goa continues to advance initiatives focused on women and child welfare, ensuring every girl has the opportunity to thrive and lead.
