In another step towards advancing Goa’s urban infrastructure, Vishwajit Rane laid the foundation stone for the River Front Project and Palika Bazaar, while also inaugurating the New Administrative Building of the Ponda Municipal Council.

River Front Project: A Vision for a Modern and Green Ponda

Palika Bazaar: Empowering Local Economy and Commerce

The foundation of Palika Bazaar marks a major boost for small traders and local entrepreneurs in Ponda. The new commercial hub is envisioned to create organized retail spaces that enhance accessibility, safety, and convenience for both vendors and visitors.

According to Vishwajit Rane, such initiatives reflect the state government’s mission to empower local economies while upgrading civic amenities.

Inauguration of Ponda Municipal Council’s New Administrative Building

The newly inaugurated Administrative Building of the Ponda Municipal Council represents a commitment to efficient governance and modern service delivery. With enhanced facilities and digital infrastructure, the building will support better administration, transparency, and ease of access for citizens.

Vishwajit Rane emphasized that strong municipal institutions form the backbone of good governance and are essential to realizing the vision of a progressive Goa.

 Goa’s political landscape lost one of its senior-most leaders on Wednesday with the passing of Ravi Naik , the state’s Agriculture Minister and former Chief Minister .
